Recover Former Employee, as the name suggests, means you can recover the details of a former employee. This function can be used in the following way :-
1) A recruitment agency can recover a former employee's personal details without having to re-key in all the employee's personal details again.

2) If a former employee re-joins your company, you can use this function to recover all his/her personal details. Recover employee only allows you to recover the personal details of an employee. All the pay data cannot be recovered. Please also note that you need to enter the P45 or the P46 as appropriate for the recovered former employee, as if he/she was a completely new employee of your company.

To recover a former employee, click on Former Employee Recover from the Employee drop down menu. Please go through the instructions before continuing with the Recovery and click on Continue. Now click on the Recover link. Please note you can only recover the personal details of the employee you wish to Recover, you have to key-in all the other pay run related details of that employee. Also note that the old Works No / Payroll ID of the employee will not be recovered, you need to enter a new Works No / Payroll ID for the employee. Enter the rest of the details and select the option “ Recover employee with a form P45(3) from a previous employer” to enter details from his P45(3) and add him as a new employee. Click on the Recover button to complete the recovery of your former employee.
