Recover Former Employee, as the name suggests, means you can recover the details of a former employee. This function can be used in the following way :-
1) A recruitment agency can recover a former employee's personal details without having to re-key in all the employee's personal details again.

2) If a former employee re-joins your company, you can use this function to recover all his/her personal details. Recover employee only allows you to recover the personal details of an employee. Pay data cannot be recovered. Please also note that you will need to enter the P45 or the Starter Checklist as appropriate for the recovered former employee, as if he/she was a completely new employee of your company.

To recover a former employee, click on Former Employee Recover from the Employee drop down menu. Please read through the instructions before clicking on Continue. Now click on the Recover link. Please note you can only recover the personal details, you will have to key-in all other pay run related details of the employee. Also note that the old Works No / Payroll ID of the employee will not be recovered. You need to enter a new Works No / Payroll ID for the employee. Enter the rest of the details and select the option “Recover employee without a form P45(3) and requires a Starter Checklist” to enter his Starter Checklist details. Enter the employee Starter Checklist details and click on the Recover button to complete the recovery of the former employee.
