4112. My two employees have the same tax code, but their tax deductions are different. Why?.
 

The tax calculation depends on the employee's earnings in the current pay period, their previous earnings in earlier pay periods and tax paid to date. If one employee has earned more in the current tax year to date than the other, they will have paid more tax. The fact that their tax codes are the same just means that they receive the same taxable free pay allowance.
